Mayo Clinic Platform launches EHR-integrated AI decision support across 35+ specialties
Mayo Clinic Platform launched an AI-enabled clinical decision support product that can plug into several EHR environments. It offers a specialty chat and 22 clinical calculators, reachable by chat or voice, across more than 35 specialties. Mayo says it is available to Mayo clinicians and to organizations in Mayo Clinic Platform's provider programs, starting in November, and that it is not meant to replace clinical judgment.
Why it's notable: It adds a health-system-built option to a market for in-EHR clinical AI that has been led by vendor products. Outcome data on its effect on decisions has not been published.
