Teladoc brings $89 virtual urgent care and dermatology to Walmart's health platform
Teladoc Health and Walmart announced on May 28, 2026 that Teladoc's virtual care would be offered nationwide through Walmart's Better Care Services platform. The service covers 24/7 urgent care for conditions like sinus and urinary tract infections, dermatology visits and nutrition counseling. Visits can be billed to insurance or paid in cash at $89, and prescriptions can be sent to Walmart pharmacies. Teladoc had already added its BetterHelp mental health service to the platform in January and said it is moving most members from subscriptions to per-visit arrangements.
Why it's notable: Low-acuity visits that used to go to primary care and urgent care clinics are increasingly sold in retail storefronts at a fixed cash price. Clinics lose those visits and see more care happen outside the patient's regular chart.
